According to the Wikipedia: A mountain is an elevated portion of the Earth's crust, generally with steep sides that show significant exposed bedrock. A mountain differs from a plateau in having a limited summit area, and is larger than a hill, typically rising at least 300 metres (1000 feet) above the surrounding land. 

Nepal contains part of the Himalayas, the highest mountain range in the world. Eight of the fourteen eight-thousands are located in the country, either in whole or shared across a border with China or India. Nepal has the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest as well as 1,310 peaks over 6,000 m height.
